Chelsea to offload midfielder to recoup funds

Chelsea prepared to offload Bakayoko

Chelsea are prepared to offload midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko for a reduced fee such that they can garner additional funds for summer purchases.

The Blues have already secured the services of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for next term and they are aiming to make at least another two signings.

Leicester City's Ben Chilwell is obviously one of the top names on their radar and reports claim that they are also looking into a potential move for Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to The Express, the west London giants are likely to offload a number of unwanted players in the coming weeks such that they can recoup funds for upcoming signings.

Bakayoko is one of the players, who is deemed surplus to requirements and it is claimed that he could be available for around £18m, which is significantly less than the previous £32m price tag.

AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in signing the Frenchman, who spent the 2019/2020 season on loan with former club AS Monaco.
