Origi set for Liverpool stay

Liverpool forward Divock Origi has no intention of parting with the Reds during the next transfer window.

The Belgium international played a key role in the Reds' Champions League-winning campaign last term and that earned him a fresh five-year contract.

However, he has since received limited gametime across all competitions and just seven of his previous 33 appearances have come from the starting XI.

Despite this, the former Lille star appears content to stay put with the club next season rather than considering a new challenge, Het Laatste Nieuws reports.

Roberto Firmino has been the regular choice for the Reds upfront this term and the Brazilian has impressed with his link-up play alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

In terms of the goal tally, he has not been overly impressive with just 11 goals from 50 appearances and has failed to score at Anfield over the course of the campaign.

Still, he fits into Jurgen Klopp's plans perfectly and Origi may have to settle for a substitute role once again next season. Origi has bagged three goals and three assists in the Premier League this term.
