Arsenal set to make third major signing

Ceballos to join Arsenal on loan for another season

Arsenal are set to make their third major signing of the summer transfer window with Dani Ceballos expected to rejoin them on loan from Real Madrid.

The Spaniard made 37 appearances for the club on loan last term and he was hugely impressive after the winter break as he formed a strong partnership with Granit Xhaka in the centre of the park.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has openly stated that he would like to retain the services of Ceballos and his wish has been granted with Los Blancos agreeing to loan him out for the second season running.

According to The Guardian, an agreement has been reached for the temporary transfer. The Gunners will pay a loan fee of around £3m while sharing the player's salary with Los Blancos.

They have agreed on a lesser financial package than the previous campaign and it is revealed that Ceballos turned down the likes of AC Milan and Real Betis to reunite with the Gunners.

He is set to become their third major signing of the summer after the arrivals of Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes. The Gunners are said to be eyeing at least three more additions to their squad.
