Suarez close to Juventus transfer?

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez could be edging closer to joining Juventus after agreeing personal terms with the Serie A holders.

The Uruguay international has contributed 198 goals and 109 assists from just 287 appearances for the Blaugrana, but he has been deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Ronald Koeman.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 33-year-old could make the switch to the Bianconeri in the coming days, having already agreed a similar salary package to that at the Blaugrana.

The Catalan giants have already sanctioned the departure of Ivan Rakitic to Sevilla for an initial fee of around £1.2m, but the deal could rise to £9m based on add-ons.

Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal could terminate his contract by mutual consent to join Inter Milan and reports claim that Suarez could follow a similar route to sign for the Italian champions.

Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo has already confirmed that Gonzalo Higuain will head for the exit door after four seasons. The Argentine has 10 months remaining on his contract, but could leave on a free transfer.
