Real Madrid awaiting Manchester United offer for attacker
Real Madrid are reportedly awaiting a formal approach from Manchester United to sign Gareth Bale this summer.
The Red Devils have identified Jadon Sancho as the prime target to strengthen the right-wing department, but they have been put off by the £108m price tag.
Hence, they are looking at alternative options for the summer and Bale has been mentioned as one of the players under consideration.
Los Blancos are eager to offload the Welshman from their ranks in the current transfer window as he is out-of-favour under manager Zinedine Zidane.
They are willing to sell him for a reduced £18.5m fee and are prepared to compensate part of his £500,000-a-week wages until June 2022, when his contract expires.
No formal offers have been made for the ex-Tottenham Hotspur star, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Los Blancos are waiting for a proposal from the Red Devils.
Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the former Southampton graduate, who has made 251 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid.
