Arsenal fail with £10m bid for Spanish goalkeeper
Arsenal have failed with a transfer offer for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, a report from The Telegraph claims.
The Gunners recently sanctioned the sale of Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa for an initial fee of £20m.
They are expected to sign Dijon shot-stopper Runar Alex Runarsson in the coming days such that he can act as the back-up to Bernd Leno.
Still, they appear keen on landing Raya, who helped the Bees in their run to the Championship play-off final last term.
The Spaniard was at fault for a blunder which contributed to the play-off final defeat to Fulham, but he is still highly valued by the Gunners.
The north London giants have made a £10m bid for his services, but the Bees are adamant that he is not for sale this summer.
The Championship side are only willing to negotiate a deal, if the Gunners are prepared to loan him back for the entire 2020/21 season.
