David Ornstein updates on Arsenal's interest in Partey, Aouar

Houssem Aouar news

Arsenal still keen on landing Partey, Aouar

The Athletic reporter David Ornstein has confirmed that Arsenal are still interested in Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar this summer.

The Gunners have already made four signings in the transfer window and goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson was their recent acquisition from Dijon.

They are likely to continue their spending in the next couple of weeks and Ornstein has revealed that their targets remain unchanged.

Partey has been identified as the main target for the Gunners, but they are still to accumulate funds to meet his £45m release clause.

Meanwhile, Aouar is another top name on their radar, but he is likely to cost more than Partey. Lyon value him at more than £50m.

The north London side need to recoup funds from player sales before they can make formal bids for the midfield duo.

Emiliano Martinez recently left the club for Aston Villa for £20m. Lucas Torreira, Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi could soon head for the exit door.
