West Ham United, Aston Villa want Chelsea midfielder
West Ham United and Aston Villa are looking at the prospect of signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a season-long loan.
The England international was picked in the starting lineup for Chelsea's season opener at Brighton & Hove Albion, but he failed to make an impact.
He has since been excluded from the matchday squad for back-to-back games and it appears that he could head for a temporary exit from the west London giants.
According to The Telegraph, both the Hammers and Villains are keeping tabs on the versatile midfielder, who has struggled for consistency since his recovery from a serious Achilles problem.
The Hammers have not made any new signings this summer and they are desperately on the search for additions to the squad before the transfer deadline next month.
On the other hand, the Villains have spent nearly £75m on four high-profile signings and they are eyeing more recruits to avoid another potential relegation battle this term.
Loftus-Cheek has the opportunity to remain in London, should he opt to join the Hammers. However, the lure of working with Blues legend John Terry, who is the assistant manager of Villa could be hard to turn down.
