West Ham United want Chelsea defender on loan?
West Ham United are looking at the prospect of signing Antonio Rudiger on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The German has fallen out-of-favour under Frank Lampard and has failed to make the matchday squad for the past three games.
Hence, he is likely to pursue a fresh challenge and The Sun claims that the Hammers are keeping a close eye on his situation.
Rudiger may not want to secure a permanent move to the Hammers, but he could be tempted to accept a temporary stint.
The 27-year-old recently worked his way back into the Germany setup and he needs regular game time to boost his selection chances for Euro 2020.
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and AS Roma have been linked with possible loan moves, but Rudiger is open to staying put in England.
The Hammers have failed with permanent bids to sign James Tarkowski and Wesley Fofana from Burnley and Saint-Etienne respectively this summer.
They are currently the only club in the Premier League, who have not made a new addition to the squad during the ongoing transfer window.
