Arsenal likely to miss out on landing Chelsea star
Arsenal are likely to miss out on a deadline day deal for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, Goal.com reports.
The north London giants re-signed Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid earlier last month, but they are still on the hunt for another midfielder.
Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey and Lyon's Houssem Aouar were considered as options, but both players appear likely to remain with their clubs.
The Gunners are reluctant to pay Partey's release clause worth £45m while they have also failed to meet the £50m asking price for Aouar.
Hence, it appeared that Jorginho could be an alternative option, but reports now claim that they are unlikely to convince the Blues to offload him.
Mikel Arteta's side would prefer a loan deal for the Italy international, but the Blues are set to reject the approach with little time to replace him.
The Blues have expressed a strong interest in Declan Rice, but West Ham United are adamant that he won't be sold at any price.
