Arsenal in talks with Championship clubs over Saliba loan
Arsenal are reportedly in talks with the likes of Brentford and Watford as they look to loan out William Saliba for the season.
The Frenchman was purchased from Saint-Etienne last summer, but he rejoined the Ligue 1 side on loan as part of the agreement.
Earlier this summer, he played in a couple of pre-season games for the Gunners, but he has yet to make his competitive debut.
He has recently been left out of the club's Europa League squad and Goal.com claims that the Gunners are in discussions to send him out on loan.
Saliba came close to rejoining Saint-Etienne on a temporary basis on Monday night, but a deal failed to materialise before the transfer deadline.
Hence, they are now looking to send him to a Championship outfit and both Brentford and Watford have expressed an interest in signing him.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta wants the defender to earn more first-team experience elsewhere before making his debut for the club.
