Manchester United, Liverpool receive boost in signing World Cup winner

Ousmane Dembele news

Dembele could be available for a reduced fee

Manchester United and Liverpool have received a boost in signing Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele when the international transfer window reopens in January.

The France international was linked with loan moves to both clubs earlier this summer, but the Blaugrana made it clear that they won't entertain any temporary deals.

It is now revealed that the Catalan giants may consider his permanent departure in the New Year with manager Ronald Koeman wanting to bring in players of his own.

Memphis Depay, Georginio Wijnaldum and Eric Garcia are all on the Dutchman's radar and Sport claims that Dembele could be sold on a cut-price deal to balance their books.

The 2018 World Cup winner was signed from Borussia Dortmund three years ago for £96m, but the Blaugrana are now prepared to sanction his sale on a straight-cash deal worth £45m.

Dembele has made less than 80 appearances for the Blaugrana due to his regular muscular problems. He has, however, returned fit for the new campaign and his fitness will surely be assessed by interested clubs.
