Everton interested in signing former Liverpool ace

Everton are looking into a winter move for Luis Alberto as they look to add more creativity in their ranks.

The Toffees made a bright start to the season with four victories on the bounce, but they have accumulated just one point from the next four games.

The arrival of James Rodriguez has made a big difference in the club's attack, but Carlo Ancelotti is keen on strengthening the department further.

According to Il Tempo, the legendary manager is keen on bringing another playmaker and has his sights on signing Alberto from Lazio.

Alberto made just 12 appearances for Liverpool between 2013 and 2016 before he made the switch to the Serie A with the Rome outfit.

He has since excelled with 27 goals and 44 assists from 142 outings and that has caught the eye of elite European sides.

The Spain international committed his future to Lazio earlier this summer as he put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract until 2025.

Hence, he seems content with his situation and it will be interesting to see whether the Toffees can lure him back to the Premier League.
