Frank Lampard provides fresh update on Hakim Ziyech ahead of Manchester City clash
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed the availability of Hakim Ziyech ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash against Manchester City.
Ziyech sustained a hamstring injury during the London derby against Tottenham Hotspur in late November and he has since missed eight games in all competitions.
However, he has been deemed fit ahead of the Cityzens game, but Lampard has yet to decide whether the Morocco is ready to start against Pep Guardiola's side.
"He’s fit to train and has trained the last two or three days so I’ll have to make the decision on whether he’s ready to start," Lampard told via Chelsea's official website.
The Blues have recently lost their way with just four points from the previous five games and that sees them sixth on the Premier League table, seven points behind leaders Liverpool.
They are scheduled to host the Cityzens tomorrow and it could be another tough challenge. Still, they should be optimistic over picking up three points, having beaten them in three of the last four meetings at the Bridge.
