Real Madrid attacker completes Arsenal medical
Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard has had a successful medical ahead of his short-term loan move to Arsenal.
The Norwegian was impressive on loan with Real Sociedad last season, registering seven goals and nine assists from 36 games.
Hence, he was reintegrated into the Madrid squad in the summer, but has not been able to prove himself due to limited game time.
After managing just 372 minutes on the pitch, Odegaard has now been permitted to secure another temporary move, this time with Arsenal.
According to Football.London, the 22-year-old has undergone a series of medical tests and his arrival will be made official by tonight.
The Gunners are currently on a five-match unbeaten run in the Premier League and will be aiming to extend the run against Southampton.
The club will move into the top half of the table with a win and could temporarily jump to eighth in the standings.
Mikel Arteta's side will be without Kieran Tierney and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for tonight's game at St Mary's.
