Arteta updates on Emile Smith Rowe's fitness

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Emile Smith Rowe's fitness following the club's 3-1 comeback win over Leicester City.

The Gunners went behind after just six minutes on the clock but they made a terrific comeback with goals from David Luiz, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe.

Smith Rowe started the game for the north London side but he was replaced with Martin Odegaard before the interval as he was unable to carry on due to some concern.

Following the game, Arteta revealed that the youngster had a problem in his hip region. He added that he is unclear over the extent of the injury sustained by the attacking midfielder.

"I'm concerned because for Emile to come out and say, 'I cannot continue playing'. It should be something related to his hip. I don't know how bad he is but he was in a good place after the game," He told Arsenal.com.

The Gunners moved to the top half of the table in 10th with the win. They are now eight points behind the top four and still have an outside chance of sealing a Champions League spot.
