Tottenham Hotspur to rival Arsenal for Turkish midfielder
Tottenham Hotspur could compete with Arsenal in the race to sign Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu this summer.
The Gunners were hot in the pursuit of the 20-year-old last summer before he signed a new long-term contract.
According to The Mail, the Gunners still hold an interest in the Turkey international, but could face competition from Spurs.
It is added that Spurs are making progress over a possible summer deal, and have already made contact with the player's agents.
Kokcu is a central midfielder by trade. He has registered three goals and two assists in 24 appearances for the Dutch club this term.
He was valued at around £20m previously, but could be available for half the price due to Feyenoord's ongoing financial concerns.
The Gunners are likely to part ways with Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi when they return from their loan stints.
Spurs, on the other hand, may consider the departures of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko as part of the midfield rebuild this summer.
