Crystal Palace approach for Arsenal midfielder
Crystal Palace have expressed an interest in signing Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion after falling out-of-favour.
According to football.london, Maitland-Niles could be offloaded permanently this summer as part of the squad rebuild.
He has been linked with Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they could face competition from the Eagles.
The south London outfit are planning for a major spending spree after announcing the release of 22 players.
They are big admirers of Maitland-Niles, but have now opened negotiations with the Gunners over a possible deal.
The Gunners valued Maitland-Niles at £20 million last summer, and they could demand a similar fee this time around.
Aside from Maitland-Niles, the likes of Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi and Willian could be offloaded over the coming days.
Hector Bellerin has also been linked with a possible exit. The club aim to recoup more than £60m from player sales this summer.
