Manchester United are expected to end their interest in signing Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid.

Trippier was linked with United in January, but they cooled their pursuit after his 10-week ban for breaching betting rules.

They recently revived their interest in signing him with a £10m offer, but that was swiftly rejected by the Spanish champions.

According to Sky Sports, Atletico want a staggering fee of £43 million to consider the prospect of selling Trippier.

The Red Devils are unlikely to meet the price for the 30-year-old, and are already looking at alternate options.

Norwich City's Max Aarons is one of the players under consideration. He could be available for around £30m.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been the undisputed right-back for United in recent years, and he has excelled defensively.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants more from his right-back going forward, and he is eyeing a quality competitor.

The club have also been linked with Lille defender Zeki Celik.
