Chelsea to pay £150m for Erling Braut Haaland?
Chelsea are prepared to pay around £150 million to land Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland this summer.
The Norwegian is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world. He had an exceptional 2020/21 season with 41 goals across competitions.
He has been linked with several elite European clubs this summer, but Dortmund are reluctant to sell him after losing Jadon Sancho.
The Blues are still optimistic of landing the marksman, and ESPN claims that they could test Dortmund's resolve with a staggering £150m bid.
Haaland's current contract with Dortmund has a £65m buy-out clause that becomes active at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Dortmund believe they have the best chance of winning the Bundesliga with Haaland, but the Blues are positive about prising him away.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich is set to back manager Thomas Tuchel with a £200m transfer kitty after the Champions League success.
Tuchel can also recoup more funds through player sales. Tammy Abraham, Michy Batshuayi, Olivier Giroud are all expected to be sold.
