Chelsea striker set for medical with Italian giants
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is set to join AC Milan following a transfer agreement between the clubs.
The Frenchman was used sparingly by the Blues last term, but still registered 11 goals across all competitions.
The club extended his stay for another season in April, but they have accepted to sell him for a nominal fee.
They are expected to receive just €1 million initially for the Frenchman, who was recently at Euro 2020.
Giroud has decided to return early from his holiday to undergo his medical. He has already agreed a two-year deal.
He may not be the only striker leaving the Blues. Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi could also move on.
The former has emerged as a target for Arsenal and West Ham United.
It is unclear whether either of those clubs could meet the £40m price tag for the striker, who netted 12 goals last season.
The Blues are aiming to recoup funds from player sales before they can make an ambitious move for Erling Haaland.
