Tammy Abraham to complete move to Roma
Tammy Abraham to complete move to Roma
Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has agreed terms with Serie A side AS Roma, and will fly to Italy this morning to have a medical and complete a transfer on Monday. Abraham has been told he can leave Stamford Bridge.
As earlier reported, Arsenal were reportedly leading the way in the race to sign the striker, but at the last minute the player opted against moving to a rival Premier League side and Jose Mourinho's Roma appear to be the striker's new preferred option.
Coveted by many of Europe's top sides, at Chelsea, Tammy Abraham has somewhat failed to live up to expectations due to a lack of chances in the club's first team. That being said, it is anticipated that the striker will be a first team regular at the Serie A side.
It is understood that Abraham will sign a five year contract in Rome, earning a reported 200,000 euros per week at his new club, and will be the long term replacement for Edin Dzeko, leading the line at the Roman side.
