Leno leaving Arsenal in January?

Arsenal could sanction the sale of goalkeeper Bernd Leno during the January transfer window, according to Eurosport.

The German started the current campaign as the number one goalkeeper, but he has recently been dropped with Aaron Ramsdale replacing him.

Mikel Arteta appears unlikely to change his stance over the goalkeeping position, and it is claimed that Leno may leave at the turn of the year.

Leno will have 18 months remaining on his contract in January, and the Gunners could sanction his sale if the right offer arrives.

Club graduate Karl Hein Jakob recently signed a new contract with the club after an impressive international break with Estonia.

He is considered by many as a potential back-up option for the future, but the Gunners could also bring in a new shot-stopper.

They were heavily linked with Ajax's Andre Onana, but did not make an approach as he is banned from playing until October.

The Cameroon international's contract expires next summer. The Gunners could look to negotiate a cut-price transfer in January.
