Chelsea duo could be fit for Southampton clash
Chelsea duo Reece James and Mason Mount could be fit for the Premier League clash against Southampton this weekend.
James sustained an ankle injury against Manchester City last weekend while Mount suffered a knock against Aston Villa prior to that.
Both players were absent for the Champions League group stage defeat at Juventus, but they could return to face the Saints.
England boss Gareth Southgate recently picked his squad for the upcoming internationals with James and Mount making the cut.
In his press conference, Southgate said that the duo are in contention to play this weekend which contributed to the squad selection.
The Blues have dearly missed the creativity of Mount in recent matches. They have lost their last two games by a 1-0 scoreline.
James has also had an impressive beginning to the season. He has excelled with his crossing into the box during the early weeks.
The return of the duo will be a huge boost for the Blues this weekend. They will be aiming for a victory before the international break.
