West Ham United were offered Chelsea midfielder on loan
West Ham United were offered the chance to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek during the summer transfer window.
The England international spent the previous season on loan with Fulham, making 32 appearances across all competitions.
It was widely suggested that he could leave on another loan stint this summer, but nothing materialised before the deadline.
According to The Sun, it is now revealed that the Blues discussed a season-long loan deal for Loftus-Cheek with the Hammers.
However, the east London outfit were not interested, and ended up signing Kurt Zouma on a permanent basis instead.
Loftus-Cheek has been a regular on the bench for the Blues this term, and he was recently rewarded with a league start.
He has earned plenty of praise from manager Thomas Tuchel, and will be hoping to establish himself with consistent displays.
The Blues return to action at Brentford after the international break. Loftus-Cheek will be optimistic about keeping his starting spot.
