Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United will need to pay £25m to sign Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie in January.

The USA international initially joined the Bianconeri on loan from Schalke in 2020 before signing for them permanently this summer.

Despite this, the Turin giants were happy to listen to offers for him. They could similarly do so when the transfer window reopens.

Spurs attempted to sign McKennie during the final week of August, but the Bianconeri were unimpressed with the proposal on the table.

The north London outfit wanted to sign McKennie in a swap deal for Ndombele plus cash. The Bianconeri rejected the offer outright.

West Ham have since joined the pursuit of the versatile midfielder, and there could be a tussle for his services during the winter transfer window.

McKennie has already made over 50 appearances for the Serie A outfit, but the majority of those outings have come off the bench.

There have been concerns over his off-field attitude. He was recently suspended by USA manager Gregg Berhalter for breaking COVID-19 protocols.
