Six Chelsea players could miss Watford game

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Chelsea could be without six players for the Premier League clash at Watford on Wednesday.

Mateo Kovacic (hamstring), Ben Chilwell and N'Golo Kante (both ankle) missed Sunday's league meeting against Manchester United.

The trio are still on the sidelines, but there are further doubts over the fitness of three players ahead of tomorrow's trip to Vicarage Road.

Jorginho, Reece James and Timo Werner were involved in today's training session, but Tuchel said that the trio could be doubtful.

They are expected to undergo late fitness tests. It won't be a surprise if Tuchel opts to keep them on the bench against the Hornets.

The Blues have drawn two of the last three league games. Despite this, they continue to hold a slender one-point lead at the top.

They need to return to winning ways tomorrow or could be leapfrogged by either Manchester City or Liverpool with a victory.

Romelu Lukaku could make the starting XI after his cameo appearance against the Red Devils last week following his injury return.
