Chelsea boss confirms duo are doubtful to face Wolves

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are doubtful to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

The Blues recently played out a 1-1 draw against Everton at home. They are now four points behind Manchester City, who are top of the Premier League.

Ahead of Sunday's game, Tuchel has acknowledged that he has fresh injury doubts. Both Jorginho and Loftus-Cheek are deemed doubtful.

N'Golo Kante, however, is fit to start after overcoming a knee problem. The Frenchman could be partnered by Trevoh Chalobah in midfield.

The Blues graduate played in the centre of the park during his academy days, and he is more than capable of slotting into the position if required.

Mateo Kovacic is also available after overcoming a hamstring injury and Covid-19. He may not be risked after just one training session.

The Blues desperately need to return to winning ways or they could find themselves further behind the Cityzens in the pursuit of the league title.
