Manchester United handed big fitness boost ahead of Newcastle clash
Manchester United have been handed a big fitness boost ahead of the Premier League meeting against Newcastle United.
The Red Devils had their games against Brentford and Brighton postponed amid coronavirus cases within their squad.
They will return to action against the Magpies on December 27, and ahead of the game, they have received a big boost.
Almost the entire squad is fit for selection. Paul Pogba appears the only absentee after his thigh injury last month.
The Frenchman was undergoing his rehabilitation in Dubai earlier this month, but Ralf Rangnick opted to recall him.
The midfielder will be assessed by the United medical team in the coming weeks before his potential comeback in January.
The Red Devils are presently five points behind the final Champions League spot that is currently occupied by Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.
They have the chance to leapfrog them in the standings, considering they have two games in hand over the north London club.
