Eddie Nketiah has clear stance on Arsenal future
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has his sights on leaving the Gunners next summer, a report from Standard Sport claims.
The 22-year-old has barely played in the Premier League this term. He has managed just 38 minutes across three appearances.
It has, however, been a different story in the Carabao Cup where he has netted five goals from his three outings for the Gunners.
Nketiah bagged his maiden career hat-trick in the 5-1 win over Sunderland in midweek, but this has not changed his stance.
The striker has said that he is desperate to play football, and reports claim that he is prepared to move on from the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta is unlikely to guarantee him a regular starting role. Hence, Nketiah has no plans of renewing his deal beyond June.
The Gunners have the opportunity to sell him next month, but may not do so with the absence of key players due to African Cup of Nations.
Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be at AFCON next month. Alexandre Lacazette is the only other senior striker in the squad.
