Manchester City join race for Liverpool attacking target
Manchester City have entered the race to sign West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen, according to Manchester Evening News.
The Cityzens are expected to part ways with Ferran Torres in the coming days. They are close to sanctioning his sale to Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola has ruled out the purchase of a replacement, but it is reported that Bowen could be a potential target to fill Torres' void.
Bowen has made good progress since his arrival at the Hammers last year. He has 30 goal contributions from 78 appearances to date.
His progress has caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. The Reds are likely to make an approach at the end of the campaign.
The Cityzens are not looking for an instant replacement for Torres, but it seems they could enter a bidding battle for Bowen next summer.
Bowen's current deal with the Hammers expires in June 2025. Talks are planned over a new improved contract to keep him happy.
