Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on the performances of Lille striker Jonathan David.

The Gunners are preparing to part ways with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has recently been dropped by manager Mikel Arteta.

The club have been linked with several strikers lately, and according to L'Equipe, David is one of the top names on their shortlist.

The Canada international is currently in his second campaign with Lille where he has come into his own with stand-out performances.

He has bagged 16 goals from just 27 appearances, and reports claim that the French outfit could be open to selling him this month.

Their financial concerns are well known, and a fee of around £40m could be sufficient to convince them to sanction his departure.

The Gunners could make a formal approach for his services particularly if Aubameyang heads for the exit door in the coming weeks.

The club could also lose Eddie Nketiah this month. He has entered the final six months of his contract, and could be sold for a bargain fee.
