Predicted Man Utd line-up vs Brighton

Manchester United will be desperate to return to winning ways when they host Brighton & Hove Albion tonight.

The Red Devils have picked up back-to-back draws in the Premier League but they are still in the top four race.

However, they can ill-afford another setback, given the fierce competition in the Champions League pursuit.

Predicted Line-up:

David de Gea has been extraordinary in goal this campaign. He came up with a strong one-handed save to deny a potential winner for Southampton last weekend. He is expected to start in goal.

The defence could see a solitary change at left-back with Alex Telles coming in for Luke Shaw. The Brazilian has had a couple of training sessions after recovering from coronavirus.

There have been calls for Harry Maguire to be dropped from the starting line-up, but manager Ralf Rangnick has backed the club captain to come good sooner rather than later.

In midfield, Paul Pogba should keep his place after a superb individual display against the Saints where he won 11 duels. He could be accompanied by Fred, who is available after a bout of coronavirus.

Further forward, Marcus Rashford may drop to the bench despite his assist for Jadon Sancho's goal. The England international was largely ineffective on Saturday, barring his goal contribution.

This could pave the way for Anthony Elanga to start. He could feature on the left wing with Jadon Sancho on the right. Bruno Fernandes should be an undisputed starter in the number 10 position.

Similarly, Cristiano Ronaldo should lead the line. Edinson Cavani has been ruled out for the encounter, having failed to recover from a groin injury picked up prior to the Saints clash.

Predicted Manchester United line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles; Fred, Pogba; Sancho, Fernandes, Elanga; Ronaldo.
