Mikel Arteta confirms double Arsenal injury boost
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of the Premier League meeting against Brentford on Saturday.
The Gunners are currently four points adrift of the final Champions League spot, but have their destiny in their own hands with three games in hand.
Ahead of the Bees tomorrow, Arteta has provided a positive news on the fitness front with the availability of Takehiro Tomiyasu after a calf problem.
The Japan star suffered the setback before the winter break, and he has subsequently missed league matches against Burnley and Wolves.
He was spotted training separately from the group earlier this week, but Arteta has hinted that he could be involved in the matchday squad tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Bernd Leno should also make the squad for the Bees clash. The German has returned to training after a bout of coronavirus lately.
Brentford secured a surprise 2-1 win in the curtain-raiser in August. The Gunners will be eyeing revenge at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
