Arsenal tracking progress of Uruguayan striker
Arsenal are monitoring the progress of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez ahead of the summer transfer window, Record claims.
The Uruguayan has been in superb form for the Portuguese giants this term, bagging 25 goals from just 30 appearances.
West Ham United wanted to sign him for around €50m in January, but Benfica were adamant that they wanted at least €60m.
It is now reported that the club have increased their valuation after learning of widespread interest in their centre-forward.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are keeping tabs on him, and they have been joined by Mikel Arteta's side.
The Gunners could be without a senior striker this summer if Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah leave on free transfers.
The north London giants are planning to recruit two strikers this summer, and Nunez has now appeared as a potential target.
The price could, however, prove a big stumbling block. The club may not meet the valuation unless staggered payments are accepted.
