Arsenal ready to move for England striker
Arsenal are ready to make a summer approach for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to The Sun.
The England international has experienced an injury-plagued campaign for the Toffees, limiting him to just 10 appearances in the Premier League thus far.
Despite this, he is one of the players on the Gunners' transfer shortlist ahead of the summer, with manager Mikel Arteta eyeing at least new strikers in the squad.
The north London club lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before the January transfer deadline. Alexandre Lacazette is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
It has been claimed that Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke is planning to back Arteta with funds for another spending spree such that the club can keep up in the top-four race.
Calvert-Lewin was valued in upwards of £75m last summer, but the Toffees may need to lower their valuation. The Gunners could face direct competition from West Ham.
The Hammers are yearning for a top-class marksman, having spent the past few transfer windows without pursuing one. This has cost them a potential Champions League push.
