Pogba on his way to PSG

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The Frenchman has under three months remaining on his existing deal, and he has decided against penning a renewal.

According to Foot Mercato, Les Parisiens are now in pole position to sign him and they are prepared to meet his wage demands.

It is added that Pogba has already met sporting director Leonardo. The midfielder has given the green light for the move.

Les Parisiens can finalise a pre-contract deal with the Frenchman, but the player may delay the decision until the summer.

The midfielder wants to respect the final months of his United contract, and a formal announcement could be delayed until June.

Aside from Pogba, the likes of Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant will leave at the expiry of their deals.

Anthony Martial could also push for a permanent move elsewhere after what is turning out to be a disappointing loan stint at Sevilla.
