Chelsea are presently banned from negotiating contracts or transfers due to the sanctions on owner Roman Abramovich.

This is expected to be resolved with a takeover, but it is unclear when the change of ownership will formally take place.

The Blues have already lost the services of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who will leave on free transfers.
