Chelsea have deal in place for 23-year-old defender?
Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde during this summer's transfer window.
The Blues were hot on the trail of the Frenchman last summer, but Sevilla refused to negotiate on his €80 million buy-out clause.
However, it appears they have now softened their stance. As per Fichajes, the Blues are on course to sign Kounde for around €60m.
The west London giants are currently restricted from any transfer activity amid the sanctions on long-time owner Roman Abramovich.
This may not hamper their prospects of landing Kounde, considering a takeover is due to be completed in the coming days.
Todd Boehly's consortium has won the bid to take charge of the European champions, and an official announcement is due soon.
Chelsea are set to have a busy summer. They could purchase two centre-backs with the exits of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Rudiger will join Real Madrid when his contract expires on June 30. Christensen, on the other hand, will make the move to Barcelona.
