Arsenal recently made a transfer offer for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, super agent Roberto di Fanti claims.

The Gunners are keen on bolstering their frontline this summer and they have widely been fancied to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

However, there are also other options on the club's wishlist. One of those appears to be Scamacca, who netted 16 goals in Serie A last term.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of the Italy international, but Di Fanti has clarified that the 23-year-old is unlikely to join the club.

The north London giants recently made an approach for the striker where it was revealed that he would prefer to continue in Serie A next season.

Di Fanti said: "Arsenal made an offer to Sassuolo for Scamacca in the last couple of days. The club’s general manager also said that it is very likely the striker will leave to play in the Premier League."

Scamacca has been tracked by Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan and he could join one of those clubs during the summer transfer window.
