Chelsea keen on signing Denzel Dumfries?

Chelsea are set to offer strong competition to Manchester United in the race to sign Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries this summer.

The Blues are on the look out for new central defenders with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leaving on free transfers next month.

However, there are also plans to bolster the wing-back positions with the potential departures of Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta.

According to Calciomercato, the Blues are now keen on securing the services of Dumfries, who has excelled from the right wing-back role for Inter.

The Dutchman only joined the Nerazzurri from PSV last summer, but there is talk that he could be sold due to their ongoing financial concerns.

Chelsea seem to be interested in him, and it is claimed that they may attempt to sign him separately or in a potential deal involving Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku has been linked with a return to Inter after just one season with the Blues, but the Serie A giants may not afford a permanent transfer.
