Bellerin set for Arsenal stay?

Spanish defender Hector Bellerin could be set for a surprise stay with Arsenal, after being pictured training with the North London side. Bellerin, who spent last season on loan at Real Betis and won the Copa Del Rey with his temporary club, is open to staying with the Premier League giants despite having just one year remaining on his current deal.

It is understood that Real Betis' current financial obligations prevent the club making a permanent move for Bellerin, and the La Liga side are looking to sign the former Barcelona youth star on a loan deal once more.

However, Arsenal are not open to another loan and are ready to keep hold of Bellerin for the time being.

With Takehiro Tomiyasu suffering multiple injury issues last season, it is understood that manager Mikel Arteta is ready to keep Bellerin as a back up.

Atletico Madrid have been monitoring Bellerin's situation, but are only ready to pay 10 million euros, which seems to be short of Arsenal's 15 million euro transfer valuation.
