Chelsea prepared to sell Levi Colwill
Chelsea are prepared to sanction the permanent sale of defender Levi Colwill as part of their defensive rebuild, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Blues have agreed a deal to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer, and he will undergo his medical on Thursday.
They are also interested in signing Presnel Kimpembe and Nathan Ake, and Romano says that both players could join the London club.
Furthermore, this could coincide with the departure of club graduate Colwill despite his excellent loan spell at Huddersfield Town last term.
The 19-year-old is eager to play regular first-team football, but that appears unlikely to happen with the purchase of three centre-backs.
The Blues may want a buy-back clause as part of his transfer which could mean that he could join one of the league's mid-table teams.
If not, London rivals Arsenal could make an approach. They have been following him for some time, but are unlikely to accept any clause.
