Manchester United linked with 26-year-old striker
Manchester United have been linked with Brentford striker Ivan Toney amid the speculation over Cristiano Ronaldo's future.
The 26-year-old had a solid 2021/22 campaign for the Bees, registering 14 goals and six assists across all competitions.
He has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge this summer, and The Mirror claim that United are keeping tabs on him.
It is added that any approach for the England star could depend on whether Ronaldo or Anthony Martial head for an exit.
Ronaldo has been touted to leave United to play Champions League football, but he has not received any suitable offers.
Bayern Munich and Chelsea have distanced themselves while Paris Saint-Germain have signed Hugo Ekitike from Reims.
Hence, Ronaldo may not leave the Red Devils this summer, and the same could be said about Martial based on pre-season.
Martial has scored in both friendlies this summer, and Erik ten Hag recently hailed him by saying that he can become even better.
