Chelsea quoted price to sign Rafael Leao
Chelsea have no chance of signing Rafael Leao this summer unless they trigger the €150 million release clause in his AC Milan contract.
The Blues have already signed a new attacker in Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, but manager Thomas Tuchel is eyeing another forward.
After failed moves for Raphinha and Serge Gnabry, Leao has emerged as a target, but Milan have no plans of selling him for now.
Leao recently entered the final two years of his Rossoneri contract, and the club have yet to meet his demands for €7million-per-year.
Despite this, Milan prefer to keep him for another season. Chelsea must trigger the buy-out clause to sign the 23-year-old this summer.
It is highly unlikely that the Blues will pay such an enormous fee for him, and they could return for him next year if he does not renew.
Leao had a top 2021/22 season with the Rossoneri, registering 14 goals and 12 assists from 42 appearances in all competitions.
