Chelsea to swoop for Bayern Munich defender?

Benjamin Pavard news

Pavard to Chelsea?

Chelsea have been fancied to make an approach for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, according to Christian Falk.

The Blues are keen on landing three central defenders this summer. They have so far acquired just one in the form of Kalidou Koulibaly.

They have failed with bids for Matthijs de Ligt, Jules Kounde, Presnel Kimpembe and Nathan Ake over the past few weeks.

Chelsea are still in the market for new signings, and Falk claims that Pavard would be tempted to join the west London giants this summer.

Pavard has been playing as a right-back for Bayern, and he is said to be eager to operate as a central defender at his next club.

Bayern value him in the region of £29m, and it is claimed that Chelsea have the Frenchman as one of their back-up transfer options.

Chelsea have made just two signings so far this summer. Aside from Koulibaly, they have signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
