Memphis Depay to leave Barca on free transfer?
Dutch international Memphis Depay could be allowed to leave Barcelona on a free transfer this summer, as the Spanish giants struggle to sell the players required so that they can register new signings. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also been linked with a departure, but Depay is understood to be the likely exit, with Juventus and Chelsea amongst the clubs interested in the player's services.
Considered one of the Netherlands' best players, Depay failed to impress during a short stint in England with Manchester United, but that hasn't stopped Chelsea from registering their interest in the player.
Juventus are leading the pack to sign Depay, but even Arsenal and Depay's former club Man Utd have been linked with bids for the attacker.
Depay briefly played for Man Utd between 2015 and 2017, when the Premier League side opted to sell the former PSV Eindhoven man in a cut price transfer deal to Ligue 1 side Lyon. An impressive five years at that club followed, before a transfer to Barca, where Depay scored 12 goals in 28 games.
