Forest to seal deal for Neal Maupay
Nottingham Forest have agreed a fee with Brighton and Hove Albion to sign striker Neal Maupay. The French forward, who has just one year remaining on the South Coast, will sign a three year deal with the newly promoted Premier League side and will be available for the club's game against Everton next weekend.
It is understood that Forest have had a bid accepted of £9 million, with a further £2 million in add-ons.
The 25-year-old striker has been playing in England since 2017, having spent two years with Brentford up until 2019, before making a move to Brighton shortly after. In 102 games, Maupay scored a total of 26 goals.
The completion of this deal will clock up the milestone of £100 million spent by Forest, who have been happy to open their cheque book in recent weeks to bring in a host of new faces.
Forest's board have backed the club and manager big in order to help the team survive in the Premier League, and many of these new players will be on show in today's game against West Ham United at the City Ground.
