Man Utd enter race to recruit 20-goal striker
Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Red Devils are looking to make multiple signings before the transfer deadline, and a new striker is a priority.
Atletico Madrid's Matheus Cunha was linked yesterday, but the Spanish side have no plans to sell him at the moment.
The Brazilian has a €100m release clause on his contract, and Atletico won't sell him for anything less this summer.
Hence, United have turned their attention to Aubameyang, as per Gerard Romero, but face competition from Chelsea.
The Gabon star would be a quality acquisition for the Red Devils with his vast experience with Arsenal in the Premier League.
However, he would command significant wages of over €350,000-a-week while Barcelona may want at least €30m to sell him.
With Chelsea also interested in his services, he may end up preferring them due to the assurance of Champions League football.
Aubameyang, who netted 20 goals for Arsenal and Barcelona combined last season, has yet to decide on his future.
