Hudson-Odoi likely to leave Chelsea on loan - 3 potential suitors
Three Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation of midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi, after Chelsea agreed to let the player leave on loan this summer. Newcastle United, West Ham and Wolves are reportedly the trio ready to snap up the 21-year-old winger on a temporary basis.
Hudson-Odoi has played 72 times for the Blues, scoring 4 goals, and has a further three caps for England since making his debut in 2019. A disappointing season for the player under Thomas Tuchel last year saw him only take part in 15 Premier League games for the Blues, and now Hudson-Odoi is demanding a move away in search of regular first-team football.
West Ham are seeking an alternative to Jesse Lingard after the England international opted to move to Nottingham Forest, while Newcastle United are desperate to sign more attacking midfield flair to their lineup. Wolves also are yet to finish their transfer business, having been linked with a move for Matheus Nunes.
Hudson-Odoi has three years remaining on his current Chelsea deal, and a loan deal will benefit the player as well as his current club. It is understood the Blues have no interest in including an option that allows the player to leave on a permanent basis.
